A cosy winter wedding with elegant styling…

Amy & Lewis finally got to say their ‘I Do’s’ after a years postponement to their big day due to the crazy way of the world!

A December winter wedding has all the cosy vibes and we were gifted with a crisp clear bright day to celebrate.

The morning kicked off at the brides home with Mother of the Bride and bride squad being made up by Berridge Hair and Claudia Salaris. The Martini and fizz was flowing and the Christmas decor with twinkly fairy lights gave a lovely backdrop.

Stunning florals were dropped off by Julie Anna Flowers who had created such classic elegant white/cream bouquets which stood out beautifully against the jewel green bridesmaid dresses from Silk Fred

The time soon arrived for Amy’s sister to help her into her first dress of the day (yes you heard right there was a dress change in the evening and I am totally here for two dresses ladies!!) With a floaty skirt and delicate pearl adorned spaghetti straps and detailed bodice this gown was a winter wonderland dream. This was paired with a pair of Charlotte Mills block heels which I am seeing more and more of and think are a fab choice and much easier to walk in than a pair of stilettos! The lovely message written on the sole of these shoes is also a sweet touch and the bride had a lucky sixpence added to the shoes.

A classic car picked up the bridal party and then the bride and delivered them to the village church where the Big Gospel Choir had been entertaining the guests. These guys were utterly epic…spine tingling, feel good, uplifting and just added so much emotion to the day and ceremony. I wish every wedding had these guys! Listening to them was probably my favourite part of the day!

Lewis, the groom, and his best man and ushers looked so dapper in their Hawes and Curtis Tuxedos and the church was styled elegantly with candles and florals.

The couple did not stop beaming throughout their vows as they finally got to say I Do after such a long wait. Amy even punched the air after the first kiss and as they headed back down the aisle as official man and wife!

Before heading off to Dodford Manor for the reception a confetti throw with faux snow was completed which added to the Christmas vibes! These swarms of snow made for epic shots (but definitely stays in your hair for the day! A nice lasting memory!!)

Guests were warmly greeted by the fantastic Dodford Staff with espresso martini cocktails and had a live singer and guitarist serenading them all as they chatted with the newlyweds.

The couple opted for a traditional receiving line which produced plenty of smiles before they all sat down for a delicious meal produced by Jenkinsons. The pudding was a real spectacle with the large displays placed on each table with a trio of desserts to pick from and smoke pouring from the large pots!

The speeches ensued and culminated in a surprise personalised song written and performed by the super talented Jamie Mathias. Jamie is a pro on the guitar with a fabulous voice and the unique song he had written bought plenty of smiles to the crowd! A real treat!

Amy then headed off to don the second absolute showstopper sparkly gown by Abella Bride from Serendiptiy Brides. It was if this dress was made for Amy and fitted her to perfection.

With the evening outfit on and hair taken down ready for the evening Lewis then led Amy to the dance floor where this stunning pair set the floor alight for the first time as husband and wife. Amy’s dress sparkled to perfection!

The couple cut the epic cake that was also complete with glitter to match the sparkle of Amy's dress. This four tier cake by The Greenhouse Cakery smelt utterly divine and fitted the elegant sparkly theme beautifully.

My evening ended by dragging the pair outside to play with some off camera flash, with and a dip and a kiss to finish the Photography for the evening!

Thank you Amy and Lewis for trusting me to capture your special day! You had styled it to perfection and it was a joy to be part of all the excitement! Wishing you all the happiness in the world!
