2 + 1 makes 3!
Claire & Dave planned an intimate spring wedding with their nearest and dearest but you could be forgiven for assuming it was a high summer wedding! The weather gods blessed them with pure sunshine and a fabulous golden hour!
The day kicked off at the grooms beautiful secluded country home where our Bride Claire was getting glammed up with her bridal party. The excitement was building and I was in my element as Claire shared all the stunning personal details for the day ahead, including an amazing pair of white chunky boots decorated with Bee’s as her bridal footwear!
This wedding was a double whammy for me, as not only did I get to capture a beautiful wedding unfold…before it all kicked off we also got to do a mini maternity shoot with Claire’s gorgeous 6 month baby bump! It really was an honour to capture 2 huge milestones in one day for them!
After capturing some lovely bridal portraits in the beautiful gardens I hopped in the car to head to Bodicote House to meet the groom and the guests ahead of the vows. As Claire walked in on her dads arm towards her groom, their faces were just a picture…the grins did not stop for the whole ceremony and you could honestly feel the love radiating out of them…I definitely shed a few tears behind the camera.
We all then headed out into the beautiful Bodicote House Gardens to throw some confetti and grab some family formal shots. All ahead of me pinching the loved up couple for their portraits.
I had already got my field of dreams in mind to take Claire & Dave to and the timings aligned perfectly with golden hour…and boy did the golden hour deliver! I think I spent most the time squealing behind the camera as these two needed very little direction to capture the most beautiful soulful images…these guys were in a beautiful just married bubble and the love shone through the images we captured.
I adored the addition of Claire’s leather jacket to add some rock chick vibes alongside Dave’s Dad’s precious vintage Mini which created some personal images (he was very lucky that his dad relinquished the keys!!)
After dancing in the sunshine we headed to The Inn at Middleton Cheney for the wedding reception. The intimate barn had been decorated beautifully by the bridal party and the addition of so many personal touches really bought the room to life.
I think back to this special day and smile, full of such love and happiness, these guys are a match made in heaven. So beautiful that their little poppet was also along for the ride all be it tucked up in mummy’s tummy! Thank you guys for trusting me to capture your special day! Wishing you a lifetime of happiness!
