A blazing hot summer day for a beautiful couple
In July of this year I was fortunate enough to be asked to second shoot for the super talented Katherine Y Photography. Kath shoots weddings in the most gorgeous settings delivering images in a timeless classic fine art style. I adore her work but better than that her relaxed calm nature makes her the perfect addition to a wedding day. For me getting to shoot alongside a fellow tog makes for a super fun day and this lovely lady is the best companion!
We headed down to Syrencot, Wiltshire on a boiling hot July summer day. The sun did not stop blazing down which made for hot work but a fabulous day for the wedding party. Syrencot is a beautiful private Georgian country house nestled in the Wiltshire landscape. The traditional renovated house contrasts beautifully with the modern glasshouse and barn which sit across the stunning gardens, giving you the best of both worlds.
Rachel the Bride, a wedding make-up artist herself, had covered every single stunning detail of this wedding which provided the best opportunities to capture pretty things! I spent the morning hanging out with the Groom, Lawrence, and his groomsmen party. Kicking off at the pub the boys were chilled with the banter flowing...with a couple of sentimental moments and the odd watery eye!
As the groom and wedding party sat fanning themselves in the glasshouse the Bridal party followed by the bride and her father walked the paths of the pretty gardens to arrive ready to say I do. Rachel looked incredible in a timeless gown and epic veil, the boys in tweed made the whole bridal party fit perfectly in the classic setting.
Vows and a confetti throw later the guests mingled with celebratory drinks in amongst the rows of lavender and in the shade of the umbrellas on the terrace. Group shots were completed in the only spot of shade and the bridal party were taken to the front of the house to take advantage of the epic backdrop. Finally the couple got some time alone to kiss and cuddle as we captured their portraits....they looked like they were straight off the pages of a bridal magazine!
Following a wedding breakfast and a few tears and laughs during the speeches a dress change was in order! Rachel donned an incredible embellished form fitting gown which was perfect for an evening party, I think the portraits I captured of her in this are some of my faves ever! Gifted with a stunning golden hour we also bagged some more couples portraits in the pretty golden light.
Thank you for having me along Kath! Rachel and Lawerence wishing you a lifetime of happiness! x
